King's Speech outlines new UK government’s plans | State Opening of Parliament – BBC

King Charles III has delivered the King’s Speech at the State Opening of Parliament, in London.

In a speech written by the newly-elected Labour government, the King announced draft laws including plans on nationalising the railways, renewable energy, housing and planning.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the plans will “take the brakes off Britain”.
