ELECTORAL COLLEGE CASTS VOTES IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: As dictated by the Constitution, electors of the Electoral College gather in their respective state capitals to cast their votes in the U.S. presidential election. Throughout the day, electors will represent the will of the people and cast their votes in accordance with the decision of voters in their respective states. With certified victories in battleground states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, Joe Biden is expected to formally be the next president-elect. After the electors cast their votes, Pres. Trump will have little to no grounds to try to reverse the outcome. Biden will be sworn into office on January 20, 2021.
