A group of men in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv are helping their nation’s fight against Russian invasion forces by welding together anti-tank obstacles. Their home-made barriers are versions of the “Czech hedgehog” obstacles used during World War II. A team of about 20 Ukrainian men has produced more than 60 hedgehogs since Russia began invading their country on February 24, 2022, and has sent some of the barriers to the capital Kyiv.
