A luxury Patek Philippe watch once owned by the last emperor of China was sold in Hong Kong on May 23, 2023, for HK$48.9 million (US$6.2 million). The 86-year-old Reference 96 Quantieme Lune model had belonged to Aisin-Gioro Puyi, who became emperor of China in 1908. Puyi later gave the watch to his Russian interpreter, whose family sold the timepiece to a European collector.
